He might have been crap with names, nine times out of ten, but he always remembered people by their jobs, their station. Remembered faces even if he could only connect them with the nicknames his mind supplied. Like now, for instance. He was only getting Charlie, the kid from Firestarter.
But that was definitely not right. "Awesome," he waved him over, then, kicking his way out of the nest of parts and wires he'd managed to get himself in, tugging a few of them out from under his shirt so he could get away from his work. More often than not the arc reactor was covered up, the fabric over it thick enough to block the glow, but when working? He kind of needed it out. Exposed.
He slapped his hand down lightly against a table piled with pieces of metal. "These are the scraps, and this-" he nudged a roughly hammered out piece of metal, wrestled into a rough mold with his shoe. It would work for now. "-Is part of what I need to shape it in."
Tony grinned, then, throwing his arms out wide, showing off his little impromptu workroom.
"Welcome to my lab. It's shit right now, but once I get things going it'll blow your mind."
