[Hey guys. Hey. Guys. Was Tony kickass in that Port or what? Yeah, that's right. He was.
And he is totally lording it over all of your heads for the rest of time.]
So, uh, for the record. We should probably have some sort of actual sane plan for situations like that. Like. The Bargites Guide to Surviving Alien Kidnappings. First chapter: Listen to the Locals and Don't Rush the Aliens.
[And, almost as an afterthought:]
And in case anyone knew her, Pepper Potts went home.

[That's... kind of way too interesting. And he's not even a biologist.]
Not really my thing, but I'm pretty sure controlled, systematic infection can help boost your immunity just as much as actual white blood cell steroids.

An advantage to a sterile system and reduced immune system activity is greatly reduced cellular degradation. Attempting to induce a native immune response could take decades off of my lifespan.
[Not conveyed through the text-- her massive horror at deliberately getting sick.]
OOPS I FORGOT MY HTML
[Since you seem to be pretty damn smart yourself, considering the whole coded message thing, but WHY IS HE BIOLOGY-ING. Ugh.]
This is why I stick to robots. Metal can be replaced and fixed up. Biology screws you over and stays that way.

But I have similar sentiments towards the field of robotics. I am given to understand you have at least one household robot? It was a part of my upbringing few share, aboard, though it is standard for any spacer world.
no subject
More than one.
Two "Special Task" bots.
One specialized helper bot.
Two general helper bots.
One household AI.
Among a few other tweaked and upgraded appliances and gadgets. The Dum-E, U, and JARVIS all have their own individually coded AIs. The rest are heavy lifters, suit assembly and storage, as well as service technicians. JARVIS keeps them in order most of the time.
[He will happily say he's never had to call a plumber.]

My head of household is Nadila-- the most advanced of my staff. She performs similar functions to Jarvis, as well as basic tasks in my aid.
[Like reminding her to eat and sleep when she's onto something interesting.]
From what mme Potts said your robots are not Ascenion? Not founded upon the logical framework of the Three Laws? I would like to ask what scheme you did use for human interaction?
no subject
[Not that he doesn't try that already, sometimes.
But uh. Oh. Right. Robotic ~laws~. Tony laughs in the face of science fiction novels.]
They have a looping subroutine that reroutes any alterations in their codes, puts everything back to one Primary Objective and two Secondary every few seconds.
Primary Objective: Be awesome. Secondary: Don't be idiots; When under threat, go for the shins first.
My voice is the override for the Primary Objective as well as the kill switch for everything.
[.... Yeah.]

I would like to see the logical positronic structure that translates to 'be awesome.'
[Robotics humor. Also she really would.]

Hey, you show me your code, I'll show you mine.

[Don't play robot chicken with her, Tony.]

There's a snag in the be awesome code. Miss one zero and you end up giving them access to sarcasm.
I definitely want a look at that life giving code, though.

[She may be serious. She probably isn't.
Considering her inmate, she's probably not too shocked by the concept.]
A work in progress, since the Doctor specifically requested that this robot not be three-law restricted, and that is the only kind that exists in my universe. So I am researching and experimenting to synthesize a new basic platform that allows for learning and morality without human-prioritized restriction.

[Since, when you come down to it, JARVIS isn't pure code. He's code formulated and wrapped around a basic print of Tony's own brain wave pattern, the electronic signals his brain produces and the pattern of them is evident in a lot of JARVIS' programming.
It's part of why he's the most advanced AI in the world so far.
Well, back home at least.]

I understand he allows you to put yourself in harm's way.
[Kind of the defining characteristic of a three law robot is that it can't.]
no subject
But he's definitely an ass about it. A disapproving, British ass.

It's a date, honey. Just name a time and place.
