2nd Command; Video

[Hey there barge! It's been a little over a week since dear Tony here first made contact with you all, but he's been... uh. More than a little prevalent in most conversations.

Even when he didn't comment, he's done pretty much nothing but creep on every single conversation around the barge.]

Okay, so, I know there's this stupid thing with wardens vs inmates and what we're allowed to get our hands on, but. I am willing to give up my naptime once therapy hour starts if I can get one thing.

I had a suit when I came in. A big, red and gold suit that was taken by... I don't even know, I'm not going to think about it. But if my baby's been cannibalized I swear-

[No, calm down Tony]

All I want to know is who I have to schmooze in order to at least get my helmet back. It doesn't have any tools, just a few downloaded games to help pass the time as well as my music.

Oh, uh, also? It might be in your better interest to give it to me, wardens. I kind of have this thing I do when I get bored and find wires underneath a wall panel. It's... well it's kind of pretty, actually.

If you're a fan of explosions and fire.

[Okaaaaay, so he wouldn't explode things on purpose, but there's always the trial and error part of things and... well, uh. There's a reason Dummy's always on stand-by with the fire extinguisher.

But no, seriously. He's bored. And he never, ever stays still and he doesn't have a lab and ugh. He's literally twitching to get elbow deep in wires and see what the hell he can do with whatever's behind the walls, here.]

Mr. Drake is correct. The last time someone opened up a wall panel, there was nothing but packing foam inside. Good luck causing an explosion with that.

Is that so? [It's almost a challenge.]

[Narvin ponders it for a moment. Not explosives; he has bad luck with those. (Plus, Tony's an inmate and he *probably* shouldn't encourage him to make bombs.) And to make it a fair challenge it should be something that would be familiar to a human from Tony's era. It wouldn't be sportsman-like to challenge Tony to make a stellar manipulator or psychic paper.]

All right then. Build me a particle accelerator. It doesn't have to be a large one, of course, but you may only use materials you find on the ship. No special requests from the Admiral and no bringing in materials from a port.

I'll permit you to use the lab under my supervision to carry out the project.

Do it and I might consider being impressed.

[Narvin raises an eyebrow and decides to up the challenge by adding a deadline.]

Then you should have no troubles finding all the materials and building it within a week.

The lab is on the above deck level one. Warden access only. I'll let you in and supervise you while you're there.

Needless to say, if you steal anything from the lab, or start to build anything other than the agreed upon accelerator--and I was a technician for five centuries, I will notice if you start building a weapon--then the challenge is off and all lab access will be revoked.

[Between Cobra Commander using him to gain lab access to create nanomites and Jesse using him to steal chemicals to make drugs, Narvin has become very paranoid and extra-cautious of inmates using the lab.]
