[Given what's happened lately? Tony's looking even more sleep deprived as usual. And more than a little fed up with... well, with just about everything]

Few things, ship.

One: The food here is crap, and I want a cleaning service. Or a car. Or both.

Two: I think I kind of promised someone a particle accelerator. I claim time extension rights considering my first port and a goddamn flood.

Which brings us to three. Sorry kids, bed offers expired.

Pretty sure you guys have been told about me. But I'm kind of a big deal in engineering, robotics, and math.

So here to serve or whatever.

I need you to back me up. I'll trade ignoring your trigger happy friend for it.

Basically, I need spare arc reactors. And I need to build them, and have people not know what the hell they actually are. And since I'm an inmate that's probably gonna require your word that they're not some sort of bomb.

Do I need to tell you to shut up about the arc reactor, or is that kind of a given?

Kind of the mechanical prodigy of my time.

Ninety percent of what I make should be impossible.

Wouldn't be rich if I didn't share.

[He's just sort of raising his eyebrows] I'm an inventor, not a hoarder. It'd be kind of pointless if we didn't market and sell everything.

What about those who need your inventions, yet can't afford them?

That's what charities and church drives are for. My company doesn't deal with that.

[His mom's foundations do, though. And those are family based, not company based. But Tony rarely brings up the good things he does in situations like this.

It's one of his many, many ways of self-destruction, actually]

If I went with the right thing to do over the business way of doing things I wouldn't be inventing at all. And then we'd all kind of be screwed.

That's a very broad thing to say without understanding how you might have evolved in that situation.

Additionally, you're rich now. So you all you want is to become richer?

[aggravating]

[His expression is twisting just slightly]

Yeah, I do. I like my money, and I like being able to do what I want, to send out for parts at, like, three in the morning and have them practically airlifted to my house an hour later.

It's how I work, and it's how I keep. Working.

Me being rich is directly conducive to the United States not being at war.

[Castiel's eyebrow quirks once, but other than that his expression remains entirely passive. There's no insult in his voice; he's just observing.]

You have a very high opinion of yourself.

But that's your choice. You were given free will to make these decisions.
