[There's no excuse for any of this. She did nothing to provoke you. :| In fact, she just glares at the feed with her jaw clenched before clicking it off. She's not even going to dignify that with a response.

[He's sitting outside in their hallway, at the absolute opposite end from where his and Pepper's room was, a bottle of scotch (sneaked out of the pub a while back) next to him, half empty.

Honestly? Tony's a sad, pissed off sight right now.

Not that that's going to save him right now. Because he's really not that hard to find. And he's definitely still absently transmitting the feed.]

[He'll hear her footsteps before anything else. Peggy swiftly storms over to him, jaw clenched and eyes narrowed. Sure, she takes into account the liquor next to him and the fact that it's nearly gone, but she doesn't let that sway her.

Because the moment she's close enough, Peggy closes her fist and swiftly socks him one.]

[She shouldn't, because Tony functions just as well drunk as people normally do sober. So, at the sound of footsteps he narrows his eyes, pushes his way up until he's leaning against the wall, stepping forward and raising an eyebrow at Peggy, wary but mostly still just annoyed-

... And then, he's getting punched. Hard and well-aimed, right in the side of the jaw, before he could do anything to stop it.

He stumbles, reaches a hand up to rub at his jaw as he catches himself against the wall, brow furrowed as he just sort of stares at Peggy, confused and pissed and- ugh. Fine. He rolls his eyes, keeps a hand on his jaw, and just slides down the wall to sit again, still recovering from the sucker punch he was on the receiving end of.]

... Been slapped a few times, but I gotta say. This is the first time I've been full out punched in the face. [He smirks, just slightly] Nice one.

[Sucker punch or not, he fully deserved it. Peggy's had to prove herself time and time again to get where she was, she wasn't about to let someone talk to her like that and get away with it. Especially someone who was supposedly a friendly. Boys may be boys, but she hardly found that an excusable reason.

She huffs out a sigh and pushes some stray hair from her face.]

You'd be daft if you said you didn't deserve that.

[There's a moment where Peggy realizes the feed is still transmitting, and she might have looked more concerned if she wasn't so irritated with Tony still.

She glances down and offers a slight smile.]

[Peggy shakes her head and offers him a small smile, strained as it may be.]

You could not have predicted just how far his lack of tact would allow him to go. I appreciate the sentiment all the same, however.

[There is still a small part of his mind that's actually working, believe it or not. He's not that far gone in a grumpy, alcoholic coma. And it's that part of his mind that, after a few moments of bitching to Charles and flipping off just about everyone else who decided his personal life was back on the gossip reel, has him finally turning off the feed on his own communicator.

His jaw is kind of red where Peggy'd hit him, and he's pretty sure he can taste blood where the edge of his tooth caught on his cheek, but hey. He's had worse.

Doesn't mean his pride isn't wounded, though.]

I didn't deserve that. [He has to push and prod, to scowl and repeat the words and try for a smirk, only to fall terribly flat, to let his head fall back against the wall behind him as he narrows his eyes up at the woman above him] I probably would have kicked myself in the nuts, too. So thanks.

[Which, in Tony speak, is the closest thing to a "wow I'm a dick, let's try and forget this ever happened" that Peggy will ever get.

He's normally not this out of control. It's kind of... well. Annoying, to say the least. It's also making his chest ache to even start to comprehend just how much Pepper leaving was hitting him. But hey, whatever. He'll distract people with his dick.....ish ways instead. Even if it ruins his reputation for all time.]
