All I want to know is who I have to schmooze in order to at least get my helmet back. It doesn't have any tools, just a few downloaded games to help pass the time as well as my music.

Yeah, a nano-processor laid out along the shell of it. The heads-up display analyzes the surrounding area and it's just generally really extremely helpful.

JARVIS kind of never shuts up, so you're covered there. Just don't compliment him too much, he tends to get a bit pig-headed if fawned over for too long. Last thing I need is an AI with a crush.

If he is able to hear me, it will be an accomplishment. My powers have been dampened here. I cannot account for how Jarvis may react. [ But 'crush' seems likely, based on her history. If she had any idea what someone having a crush on her looked like. ]

He has auditory input and voice recognition systems. He's also an adapting and learning bot, with severe protocols to keep his hardware from corrupting. The basic directive is service and help, with me at the center, so there's no overriding that one.

[He grins, though]

I think he'd like having more people to talk to that actually get the complexity of his coding.

I have no intention of overriding his programing. I would simply appreciate the opportunity for intelligent conversation. [ Intelligent meaning, in this case, mostly binary. ]

So, what, your universe have a ton of AIs running around?

Artificial intelligence has not yet been perfected in my world. Most AI systems are primitive at best.

Honey, you'll love JARVIS. No one's made an AI to his level before. He's kind of my crowning glory, aside from the suit. Just don't tell him that, he'll never let me hear the end of it.

So how do you normally talk to systems, then?

I am sure we will get along. [ She always gets along with computers. ]

So, what? No connection or anything? You can just talk to circuits and they understand you? And... vice versa?

Physical connection to circuitry facilitates the conversation, but it is not required.

That's a fun little talent. [He's grinning wolfishly now] Can everyone do this where you're from, or is that something unique to you?
